501c3 Approved!
It’s been a hot minute since we updated, but we’ve been working on the boring background admin and legal stuff. At the beginning of February, we received our 501c3 approval letter from the IRS! This means that donations are now tax-deductible for American donors!
With that, we were able to tackle submitting the FY24 tax return (Form 990-N, copies available upon request).
After that, we’ve been tackling the State Charitable Registrations. So far, the states that we can accept donations from are:
- Arizona
- Connecticut
- Colorado
- Delaware
- Idaho
- Indiana
- Iowa
- Louisiana
- Maryland
- Missouri
- Montana
- Nebraska
- New Hampshire
- South Dakota
- Texas
- Vermont
- Wyoming
More states coming soon!
In addition to tackling the State Charitable Registrations, we are working closely with our partner, Sol Haven Ranch, on their land selection process. A group of Grid-Gone and Sol Haven representatives are scheduled to meet in a couple weeks in CO to look at possible properties. We’ll keep you updated!
